A little bit more about me...
Hi, I'm Ele!

You could say my dog training journey began when I was 12 years old. I volunteered (rather excitedly I might add) to help train my friend's dog, Bailey, a lovely Wheaten Terrier pup who kept me busy nearly every day for an entire summer! With teaching her all kinds of fun tricks from "Shake" to "Roll Over", I couldn’t get enough of learning with Bailey and discovering all the amazing things she was capable of. I like to think that training Bailey that summer ignited a spark within me I didn't know I had, which started to glow again in my early adult life.
When it was time to go to university, I decided to head back to my roots in England and I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Goldsmiths University of London. Despite loving my degree, rather than pursuing a career in human research, I always knew deep down that working with dogs was what I truly wanted to do and a career path I just had to step into.

My journey working with dogs officially began back in 2021, and I worked as a group dog walker and day-care assistant. At this job I obtained so many valuable skills, from learning how to safely and effectively handle dogs of all breeds and sizes, developing a greater understanding of dog body language to eventually volunteering and assisting at the training classes which also took place there. While gaining this experience, I began my dog training education through accredited online academies in my spare time.
In March of 2022 I passed my exam with Merit and became a qualified dog trainer through the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT). I am always eager to develop my skills and knowledge as a modern dog trainer. I am currently completing another qualification program through the Grisha Stewart Academy to become a Certified Behaviour Adjustment Training Instructor- Knowledge Assessed (CBATI-KA). This involves 100+ hours of education hours.

I also got the incredible opportunity to work alongside Jennifer, the head trainer and founder of Bone Ball Bark (BBB). Together we created the Walk and Train service and for 18 months I did training walks in collaboration with BBB for dogs of all ages and behaviour adjustment needs. I was able to learn from one of the best trainers in the business and working with Jennifer greatly increased my skills and confidence as a young trainer in the industry. I couldn't be more grateful and thankful for all she taught me and for her continued support through this next chapter!
I am so excited to begin this new endeavour and for all that is to come with running my own dog training business, Pup Up & Away! Thank you for supporting and showing interest in my business and I am looking forward to helping you and your dog!
